C-Tug trolley -
the easy way to carry your kayak or canoe

The C-Tug trolley is an easy way to carry your kayak or canoe over rough ground and longer distances.

It's simple to assemble, lightweight (4.3kg) and strong as it is made from reinforced composite material.

It can carry canoes and kayaks with weights up to 120kg (300lbs). Great for fully ladened kayaks or canoes during a portage!

The standard wheels are puncture free with grippy tread. They can be changed for sand specific wheels if needed (these are available separately).

The rubber tread works really well on most surfaces including mud, stones and sand and is hard wearing.

The cradle on the C-tug trolley adjusts to suit the shape of the hull on your kayak or canoe. This makes it stable.

The kayak or canoe is then strapped to the trolley to avoid it falling off or moving.

In the kit form, the trolley can be easily packed into a kayak or canoe. It's made of plastic so is durable against mud and other soft abrasions and is easy to clean.

Assembly of the trolley takes a minute or so and is easy to do. Everything clips together and no tools are required. The straps are wide and strong and the buckle fastens well and feels secure.

The pieces of the C-tug trolley will fit inside a moderate sized touring kayak and most canoes.

When carrying your kayak or canoe, it is best to balance it with the trolley as close to the middle as possible (see photo below). This reduces the weight you need to lift when pulling the trolley.

Keeping the strap tight ensures the kayak or canoe does not move and this makes pulling the trolley easier especially over bumpy ground.

Our C-tug trolley, which we have had since 2021, has been used on many kayak trips and has worked really well.

There is a small stand on the trolley which is made of thin plastic. This does feel flimsy although it has worked fine for us.

For us, it's the best trolley for kayaks and canoes available and we'd certainly recommend it.
